Our Core Issues
- Repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT)—CHECK!—and ensure that LGBT military members may serve with dignity
- Repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), so that every marriage in every state has the same federal rights
- Pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), to prevent workplace discrimination
- Stand in solidarity against violence and hate in our communities
- Reform immigration laws to recognize same-sex couples and end the needless separation of families
- Protect the rights of LGBT parents to adopt children and build strong families
How We Work
Swish focuses on four initiatives to advance LGBT equality:
- Swish Pride – Increasing the participation of straight allies at LGBT Pride events and rallies
- Give A Swish – Engaging members with LGBT service organizations in community service projects and in issue campaigns and coalitions
- Swish Nights OUT – Monthly events that network, educate, and activate gay and straight people together
- Swish Voices – Amplifying the diverse storeis of our members and partner organizations through our website and social media
